Rudbeckia fulgida 'Goldsturm'

Also known as the 'Coneflower' and 'Black-Eyed Susan'. A rhizomatous perennial with branched stems, long-stalked, lance-shaped basal leaves, to 12cm long, and lance-shaped, toothed stem leaves. Both are mid-green and slightly hairy with prominent veins. Daisy-like large, golden yellow flowerheads, to 9 - 12cm across, with shorter stems than others in the species, with orange-yellow ray-florets and conical, black-brown disc-florets from late summer to well into autumn.
