Polemonium caeruleum

Also known as 'Jacob's ladder'. Clump-forming perennial, mainly hairless but softly hairy near the inflorescences. Bears open, bell-shaped, blue flowers, up to 2.5cm across, with prominent yellow stamens on erect, branched stems in early summer.
